Hi! This website contains my bio, research papers, teaching experience, and CV. You can reach out to me via email at contact@gaurichandra.com or chandra.gauri@bcg.com.

I am a behavioural and experimental economics researcher with over five years of experience collaborating with government and private sector partners to design and implement effective, evidence-based policy solutions. I am skilled in applying quantitative and qualitative research methods to embed behavioural science into programs aimed at enhancing societal welfare across diverse contexts, including India, the Middle East, and the UK. My expertise spans labour market policies and interventions to increase female labour force participation, strategies for social media platforms to combat misinformation, initiatives to reduce single-use plastic pollution, and consumers' motivations underlying ethical consumerism.

Currently, I work as a subject-matter expert in Behavioural Science at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where I am leading six field experiments for a government agency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, applying behavioural science to enhance human  capital development. My research portfolio includes large-scale randomised controlled trials conducted in online, lab and in field settings, in collaboration with private and public sector organisations.

Prior to joining BCG, I was a doctoral candidate at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. I worked as a pre-doctoral researcher at the Marshall Institute, London School of Economics and a summer consultant with the World Bank's Mind, Behavior, and Development Unit (eMBeD).

I hold a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Oxford, a Master of Science in Management and Strategy from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. My academic research has been published in a range of peer-reviewed journals including Behavioural Public Policy, Social Policy and Administration and Voluntas.
